Program  Purpose:

This program  is designed to teach PhDs and Postdoctoral trainees the  practical skills and concepts, and ways to transition into science policy careers. The program  will cover a range of topics including policy development and implementation, communication skills, resources available , ways to make connections and career pathways.

The program goals include fostering the development of skills in science policy, including written and oral communication, as well as provide opportunities for networking with professionals and practical exercises in a number of areas.

• Build expertise in giving a science policy pitch to policymakers
• Grow your network among peers and other science policy experts
• Learn fundamentals of science policy and advocacy from various resources
