Grad Student & Postdoc Trainee Council

Goal of Council

The Trainee Council provides feedback on past career & professional developmental programming, events, and approaches, suggests (with the opportunity to lead) future programming ideas based on the needs of fellow graduate students and postdocs, collaborate and create innovative programming in the post-pandemic climate to serve larger trainee community and serve as a liaison between the program, trainees, faculty, and respective departments.

Expectations

Attending GPS-STEM event

Attendance to at least 3* GPS-STEM events per quarter

*with exceptions, especially if programming isn’t helpful to you or you have a busy quarter.

Quarterly Council Meetings

1-hour meeting to brainstorm and provide feedback on the programming you attended

Testimonies and additional support

Provide your testimonies for programming you’re excited about or had an excellent time in. Skill building in other additional support such as audio/video editing, event planning, custom programming for your interests.
