Throughout her undergraduate and graduate training, she pursued interests in science education, outreach, and communication through tutoring, teaching assistantships, and volunteering alongside her research activities. After completing her doctoral work, she transitioned into her current position as an Associate Director of Scientific Affairs at PRIME Education. This talk will highlight Dr. Douglas’ transition out of academia, differences in medical education at PRIME vs traditional academic institutions, and the key skill sets needed to pursue a similar path, as well as lessons learned.
